After opening the skull, robots can guide surgical instruments precisely to the tumor based on the image data. Thus, the risk of collateral damage to the brain tissues can be significantly minimized. Similarly, surgical robots are being used in distinct surgical disciplines such as cardiac surgery, urology, gynecology, pediatric surgery, and general surgery.
